David is a composer based in Bristol and London working in film and theatre.

He began playing piano and clarinet whilst growing up on the Isle of Wight, making and releasing records from his garage from an early age, with a sound inspired as much by Radiohead as by Ravel and Satie.

He trained as an actor-musician at Rose Bruford where he developed a love for exploring the ways in which music can help to tell stories. He co-runs award winning actor-musician theatre company DumbWise making pieces of music theatre that use original music, songs and live musicianship as an integral and integrated part of storytelling.

Alongside composing, David often works as a theatre practitioner and musical director for leading drama schools such as Mountview Academy and BYMT.

He also pens songs under a solo project entitled Man at Sea

David is currently studying for an MA in Composition for Film and Television at the University of Bristol.
