Hello and thanks so much for visiting my site!
I am a composer and musical director working predominantly in actor-musician theatre. I trained on the Actor-Musicianship course at Rose Bruford where I discovered a love for exploring the form; particularly the interplay between actor and musician.
I co-run and am the MD/composer of the actor-musician theatre company DumbWise. We make pieces of music theatre that use original music, songs and live musicianship as an integral and integrated part of our storytelling. Our work has been seen across London in venues such as Wilton's Music Hall, The Bunker and Lost Theatre and has toured nationally. You can find out more about us here:
My passion for working with the next generation of aspiring theatre makers has led me to teach and direct in a variety of places including Mountview Academy, The Garage in Norwich, The Big Act in Bristol and Spirit Young Performers in London.
A few years ago I left London and moved to Bristol to find more space, time and air. It must have done the trick as since moving I have written three new musicals including new commissions for Mountview and British Youth Musical Theatre. Please see the "Musicals" section on my website for more info. I'm always loking for new writing collaboraters in the area so do get in touch if that's you!
I also write as a singer/songwriter under the moniker Man at Sea. My latest single 'The Only Constant' was recently played on BBC Introducing in the West. Head here to have a listen!
